A 250ml can of energy drink with 27g of sugar is equal to 5.5 teaspoons of sugar.

A 600ml bottle of soft drink with 64g of sugar is equal to 13 teaspoons of sugar.

1. Shake off
The first stage is all about shaking off your body’s physical reliance on sugar. This is done gently and supportively using Dr Libby’s knowledge and wisdom of the body systems (such as the gut and brain) and biochemical pathways sugar impacts.
2. Shift

3. Substitute

Most days your email will contain a link to a video which contains the course content for that day. You can also login to the course platform and connect with other participants along with the Dr Libby team via the forum.

Most of the videos are around 7 minutes, though some are longer, and some are a little shorter. Remember you can take the course at your own pace over the 42 days – it’s designed to be flexible. However, if you want to keep pace with the daily content, we estimate between 10-30 minutes a day.
As we wish for you to get the most out of this course, you will have access for a total of 84 days (an additional 42 days) to ensure you have plenty of time to consume the content.

Absolutely! In this course, Dr Libby will guide you to effectively reduce your sugar intake. While there is guidance around foods and beverages to avoid/minimise during this process, there are no set meal plans.
This course is suitable whilst pregnant or breastfeeding (it simply educates you about sugar and encourages you to make dietary changes that support this), although if you have concerns or health conditions, please consult with your qualified healthcare professional before enrolling in this course, to ensure it is suitable for you and/or your baby.
If you have been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and are working with a specialist or other healthcare practitioner, we recommend consulting with them before enrolling in this course. If you have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and are using insulin, please do the same.
If you have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes but you are not on insulin, or if you are “pre-diabetic” or have impaired glucose tolerance, the course is suitable for you. The course simply educates you about sugar and encourages you to make dietary changes that support this.
